Kolkata Swasthya Sankalp- Why Us

Dialysis is a life-saving process that supplements the blood purifcation process of the kidneys. The purification is done artificially outside the human body by machines. It is a long drawn session of about four hours. Patients require repetitive sessions as frequent as thrice a week; it is expensive and logistically and financially unfeasible at home by common man.

Dialysis is a treatment, not a cure.

7,850,000
individuals affected in 2006 in India.
6,425,000 - total population of Himachal Pradesh in 2006.
7,065,000

115,000

Snake bite, poisoning, road injury patents, malignant malaria and diarrhea are also some of the reasons one may need dialysis.
